Information Sent Directly
Search Text
A name, place, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that search tool. Cook County Busted Mugshots does not maintain a separate internal log of those search terms. The provider may have its own collection and retention practices, so review its notice before submitting a query.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact message may contain the sender’s name, email address, question, and any details included in the message. Those messages are kept so a reply can be sent and the request can be handled. They are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal demand or needed to address a security or abuse issue.
Technical Details and Cookies
When a page loads, ordinary technical details may be recorded by the site, its host, analytics tools, or advertising services. These details help deliver pages, measure use, protect the service, and find faults. They may include:
- IP address or an approximate network location
- Browser name, type, and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
- The referring page, when one is supplied
- Visit and event timestamps
Cookies and Similar Tools
Cookies and similar technologies may be used to understand how visitors move through the pages, remember limited settings, support analytics, or help deliver relevant advertising. Browser controls can block or delete cookies. Some site or partner features may work differently when those files are refused.
How Information Is Used
Information is used for ordinary service, measurement, and safety needs rather than to create an official Cook County record. Typical uses include:
- Keeping the pages available, responsive, and functional
- Sending search requests to the appropriate partner tool
- Understanding which pages and features are useful
- Detecting abuse, errors, fraud, and technical security problems
- Showing advertising that may reflect browsing interests
Legal-use restriction. Cook County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Neither this service nor its advertising or search partners provides FCRA consumer reports. Information from these pages or tools must not be used for employment or hiring decisions, housing or tenant screening, credit or lending decisions, insurance decisions or premiums, licensing or permit decisions, government-program eligibility, or any other FCRA-covered purpose.
Links and Outside Services
Pages may link to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia courts, the Georgia Department of Corrections, federal locators, government open-records resources, and third-party search services. Once a visitor leaves for one of those destinations, that operator’s privacy notice, terms, cookies, and data practices control. Cook County Busted Mugshots does not control their content, security, uptime, or retention.
Advertising partners may also use their own technologies to measure activity across sites or tailor advertisements. Any such tracking occurs on the partner’s systems under its policies, not under a promise that this private site can see or manage every downstream use.

- Search partners that receive terms submitted through their tools
- Analytics providers that measure visits and page performance

The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
